My New Bed and Jewelry box

Today I got a new bed from Grandpa and Marme. This morning I watched my mom and dad put it together. We had to take most things out of my room so we could find where to put my bed, so after it was done my dad brought my very special jewelry box to the corner. Then I put all my stuff back now my room looks GREAT. The jewelry box used to belong to my Grandmother Joan. It has a lot of pockets and space for my stuff.

Art Festival

Today me, my mom, Marme, and Mrs. Shawn went to a art festival. we walked about half a mile looking at all the art that all the artists made. There were canveses, glass sclupturers, wood scluptures, basckets, and jewelry. When we entered there was a kids zone where we could do crafts. We crossed a bridge over a very blue river. There were lots of food courts and drink stands. The ice cream shops weren't making any progress because it was so cold. They looked frustrated. We had lots of fun. After we left we went to Posados for queso.

My sketch of our day.

Fishing in Louisiana

This week after school and football practice we drove to Louisiana. Grampie took us to Louisiana for a fishing trip. He is the best Grampie in the whole world. We started driving at about 5:30 and we got there at about 11:30. We got to sleep for 4 hours then we woke up at 4:30 am to get ready. We got on the boat a 5:45 am and it was still very dark. We rode the boat around for 15 minutes then we found fish. I caught the first fish and Patrick caught the biggest fish. Every one except my mom caught at least 3 fish. Mom took pictures of everything. I had a fish on my own fishing pole but the fish was so strong it broke my line! When I caught my first fish it almost pulled me into the water. Every time we got to a school of red fish Mr. Kevin our Captain would cast poles for me and Patrick.  After a while  I got tired of not using my pole so Mr. Kevin fixed my line.  My new line was stronger and my fishing pole worked much better. After a few hours we caught about 10 fish and we started catching even bigger fish. We ate sandwiches on the boat. When we started back to the dock we kept 14 fish total. We had to throw bag a lot of fish that were too big. On the way back Mr. Kevin stopped by a friend's shrimp boat so we could buy a full 5 gallon bucket of shrimp!  We went to the dock and and cleaned the fish and came home.

THANK YOU GRAMPIE AND MR. KEVIN FOR TAKING US FISHING
